About us

John Xu is a doctor from Shanghai, China. He graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in July 1984. He recieved his Bachelor of Medicine degree, major in acupuncture, Tui Na (a traditional Chinese form of massage and manipulation) and orthopaedics. He also trained in Western medicine at same time. After two years practice acupuncture, TCM Orthopeadics in Shanghai Zha Bei Central Hospital. John then moved to Western orthopeadic department practice as an orthopaedic doctor. Before came to NZ, John was the head of a clinical research department, spcialising in combination of Chinese and Western medidince. John started practice Chinese medicine in NZ since April 1989. Over the years, John has helped thousands people from all works of life, with their health issues, including some top professional athletes, muscians, hollywood actors/actress, medical doctors, physiotherapists. John is passionate about his work, his goal is provide the treatments that are both effective and long term, and with results that are satisfying.
